LOOKING TOWARDS THE OPENING OF PHOENIX HOUSE ORPHANAGE

We anticipate when the doors open to Phoenx House Orphanage, the children will come with torn bodies, wrecked lives, shattered emotions and no trust.  We will offer them a sanctuary; a place to heal, and a place to mend.  And most of all to begin to trust again and  know all people aren’t like their captors and abusers. SANCTUARY
Phoenix House Orphanage  will provide a sanctuary for children who are victims of sex trafficking.  Children coming into Phoenix house will be brought to us through the judicial system. We will offer protection, healing, safety, wellbeing.

BASIC NEEDS
Children entering Phoenix House Orphanage will come in for the long term. In the first hours of entering Phoenix House they will be given food and clothing, and medical attention to begin to heal their bodies. Many children in sex slavery are given drugs purposely, to keep them hooked and needing more from their abusers. Drug rehab and crisis counseling begins immediately to clean them up and get them healthy.

LONG TERM CARE
Long term the children of Phoenix House will be given an education, including learning English as a second language. They will be taught living skills, and will be prepared for healthy independent living by teaching them a trade, and preparing them for employment. They will receive counseling to help them identify unhealthy patterns of relating and coping associated with their past abuse.  They will be  given a supportive and nurturing environment in which to grow mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually.  And when possible children will be united with their families.
